To start Device Manager: 1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. Double-click System, and then click the Device Manager tab.

Troubleshooting Information

• If there is a problem with a device, it is listed in the hardware tree under Computer. Also, the problem device has a symbol that indicates the type of problem:

Can 32-bit Programs Be Run On The 64-bit version of the Windows Vista Operating System?

Many programs designed for a computer running a 32-bit version will work on a computer running the 64-bit version of the Windows Vista operating system without any changes. However, if a 32-bit program uses embedded drivers, there may be some cases there might be performance issues, or the drivers might not work in the 64-bit environment at all. When using a computer with the 64-bit version of the Windows Vista operating system it is best to use programs designed specifically for a 64-bit operating system.
