Can 32-bit Programs Be Run On The 64-bit version of the Windows Vista Operating System?
Many programs designed for a computer running a 32-bit version will work on a computer running the 64-bit version of the Windows Vista operating system without any changes. However, if a 32-bit program uses embedded drivers, there may be some cases there might be performance issues, or the drivers might not work in the 64-bit environment at all. When using a computer with the 64-bit version of the Windows Vista operating system it is best to use programs designed specifically for a 64-bit operating system.
